It is a tough situation to be in, but at the same time, there's nothing saying that you have to be miserable at moments like that (as sad as the situation is) and Katie finds herself caught up in the world of the Mousetress and the other superheroes of New York City that it is understandable that her universal life lesson might be disguised a bit by the over-the-top adventure of all of the cats and what happens when Katie needs to work WITH the cats for a dangerous mission. Now, I don't want to shock you here, but pre-teen friendships when the friends are apart and one of the friends is with a whole new group of people tend to be a bit fragile, and really, at the heart of this story is the tale of what happens when you grow apart from your best friend. Bonanza, because it was set in the West at a different time, was able to do issue-oriented stories." Bonanza was a period drama that attempted to confront contemporary social issues. When you see the Lilliputians fighting and double-crossing each other, you are watching humanity through Swift’s eyes.
